No, the Mercedes Benz SLS Gullwing (which we all thought was going to be called the Mercedes SLC – but we were wrong!) is not showing at Geneva 2009. But that hasn’t stopped Mercedes from doing a bit of a spoiler for the show on the day before press day by releasing testing images of a disguised car, together with some solid information, instead of all the speculation we’ve been indulging in. McLaren F1 - Ron Dennis mulled producing more cars
McLaren boss Ron Dennis has confessed he considered cashing in on the current price of the original McLaren F1 by building more. The price of an original McLaren F1 is nothing short of stratospheric. Prices of £3 million, £4 million and more have been paid for one of the 64 F1 cars McLaren made in the 1990s.
In conjunction with Pininfarina Deutschland and VDC Fellbach, the Society for the Advancement of Architecture, Engineering and Design in Stuttgart (AED) awarded prizes to up-and-coming young designers as part of a competition that made its debut last year. The Pininfarina Student Award represents a platform intended to make entering professional life easier by offering internships at prominent design companies for successful entrants. In 2006 the Pininfarina prize was awarded in the following categories:

- Transportation Design (Cars and Vehicles)
- Industrial Design (Industry and Product Design)
All students and graduates at schools in Germany who were not older than 28 at the time of submission could participate.
